Ever walked by a neighbor's fig tree, loaded with figs, some rotting on the ground, and wanted to take a few? Had more basil or mint than you could use in one lifetime? Wanted to pick a few fresh vegetables (from someone else's garden) for your dinner? Join the AccessibleVegetable movement. Think of it as a shameless food bank involving no paperwork or exchange of money or services. Simply thank Mother Nature for providing, as she is known to do, and pay it forward, if you feel inclined.

AccessibleVegetables hits the markets
AccessibleVegetables will be humming at the Austin Downtown Farmer's Market this Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 am - 1 pm. Come find out more about how to play, what a "pod" is, purchase yard signs, and color me accessible. If you're interested in volunteering, there are many ways to help including pod development, tabling at farmer's markets in other locations, technical help with the website, collecting stories for use in documentaries, and more.
